Now that the free agency have begin, its now time that we look at some of the rumors spreading around.
Rumors
• The Lakers have reportedly decided not to trade guard Nick Young after the team received no viable trade offers, according to Bill Oram of the Orange-County Register.
• Cavaliers general manager David Griffin says he is hopeful of eventually signing forward Tristan Thompson. Griffin also said he would like to see J.R. Smith and Matthew Dellavedova come back to the team if deals can be worked out.
• The Kings and Luc Mbah a Moute are nearing a one-year deal, reports ESPN's Marc Stein. Sacramento is pursuing him after forward Andrea Bargnani spurned the Kings to join Brooklyn.
• Deron Williams cleared waivers on Monday, paving the way for him to join the Mavericks, reports Scout's Mike Fisher. Dallas's two-year deal with Williams is expected to be in the $10-12 million range and could be completed as soon as Tuesday, reports ESPN's Marc Stein.
• Veteran Jason Terry is progressing toward a deal to re-sign with the Rockets,reports RealGM's Shams Charania.
• The Nets traded point guard Steve Blake to the Pistons for Quincy Miller, the team announced Monday night. Brooklyn is expected to waive Miller, reports RealGM's Shams Charania.
• The Washington Wizards and guard Bradley Beal will talk about a new contract extension soon, according to Beal’s agent.
• The Magic traded forward Moe Harkless to the Trail Blazers for a second-round pick.
• The Milwaukee Bucks and center John Henson are nearing an agreement on a contract extension, ESPN’s Marc Stein.
• The New York Knicks and forward Lou Amundson have agreed to a one-year, $1.65 million deal, reports Ian Begley of ESPNNewYork.
• The Denver Nuggets have signed point guard Jameer Nelson to a three-year, $13.5 million deal, reports ESPN's Marc Stein. The Nuggets have also signed center Nikola Jokic, a 2014 second-round pick, to a four-year, $5.5 million deal, according to Stein.
• JaVale McGee to the rescue? After losing DeAndre Jordan, the Mavericks have entered into contract discussions with the lanky big man,reports RealGM's Shams Charania.
• The Raptors have hired former Bulls assistant coach Andy Greer to join head coach Dwane Casey’s staff, Yahoo’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports.
• Free-agent center Kevin Seraphin may be finding a home soon. The Lakers, Mavericks and Wizards are interesting in signing him, reports Yahoo! Sports’ Marc Spears.
